OUR FOUNDERS

We all know something about Ludovicus Rutten and Bro. Bernardus. We know that Ludovicus Rutten founded our Congregation in 1840 and we also know more or less how it was done. We know that bro. Bernardus was the first Superior General. During his postulancy and novitiate every brother heard about our founders and the beginning of the FIC. You may therefore wonder what I have come to say here.

I am expected to tell you about our founders, about their heritage and how our congregation has developed. That’s what I want to try. Thanks to circumstances I have been able to read quite a lot about our founders; I have talked about them with others; I have reflected upon them.
