The major part of the brothers in the Netherlands are retired. However, this does not prevent people from being quite active still. Very many brothers commit themselves to serving as volunteers in various fields of Church and society. By giving lessons in Dutch as a second language. By visiting sick people. By organising activities with handicapped people. By doing translation work. Or giving administrative support. By distributing Holy Communion. Just chatting.
