| The road of painting icons is a narrow one. We will engage in it in a careful, attentive way. It takes a lot of time to learn to look "from the inside" and to listen to what moves us inside ourselves. Icons and prayer are inseparable. That is why we propose to embed the painting of an icon in an atmosphere of silence. Not an imposed silence, but a quiet and silence that are experienced from within as something necessary and beneficial. However, during the painting practice we listen to Byzantine music, as this music in particular is deeply related to the world from which the icons originate. |
