SAINT PATRICK'S
SECONDARY SCHOOL
This school was built in l949 in Mzedi as a primary school. It was run by the Montfort Fathers until l952 when it was taken over by the Irish Xaverian brothers. They did not continue standard one to six but started to develop a junior secondary school. Because of lack of staff the diocese decided to call for the FIC brothers. Soon after their arrival in 1960 the old buildings were replaced and new ones were added.
The Hall of St. Patrick's Secondary School
Many graduates are grateful for the thorough training they have received and for the values imbued in them.
A history of this important educational institution still has to be written.
(A few historical remarks you find here)
Below are shown a few pictures, hopefully the beginning of a more elaborate survey of the good work done in the past - and continued in the present - by the Brothers FIC and their many collaborators.
